Raecks

The cafe downstairs has a lovely menu, but the wine selection is what really makes it special. The gentleman who showed us the wines knew about every one and took the time to explain them. The staff are the nicest people you’ll meet at any hotel in the area. If you want a quaint little getaway, this is the place. I miss it already.

A warm, atmospheric family hotel in a great location, with an incredible bar and a superb choice of beer and wine. When we visited, they had an open jazz night with professional musicians and an open mic. It was a night to remember.

The rooms were small but neat, and the bathroom was excellent, with a good shower and everything very clean. During my stay at Raecks, I was surprised by how friendly and helpful the customer service was. The location is great, about 15 minutes from the train station or city centre, and the restaurant serves great food and drinks. If I go to Zandvoort Circuit F1 again, I’ll definitely book this hotel.

The hotel is clean and the location makes it easy to walk around downtown. My room, though, was the smallest I’ve ever seen, with the narrowest bed I’ve slept in. There was no door or curtain on the shower, and its head faced the wall, so I had to hold it and aim it to get wet. The wine bar downstairs didn’t look very busy.
