The beds are really comfortable, though they could be a bit bigger, and I’m not exactly small myself. The rooms and bathrooms are generally clean and well equipped, but a fridge would help. We couldn’t keep our food cool, which might be a problem for a longer stay. Breakfast was tasty with a good choice, while the tapas bar, like everything else in town, felt overpriced. The staff, especially the ladies, were super kind and friendly. It’s a really nice hotel and we had a very good experience. Hope these suggestions help, thanks! A couple of things outside the hotel may affect your stay: some rooms face a church that rings its bell every 15 minutes or so, sometimes for longer. Events in the square can bring loud, heavy bass that makes the whole hotel resonate. Ordinary music wouldn’t bother me, but the monotonous techno bass does. It can be hard to rest in the afternoon with the windows open. The town management should do something about that.

I booked a single room for a conference and liked the hotel. The location is great, with Albert Heijn within walking distance, cafes and restaurants nearby, and a cinema right by the door. Tickets there are cheap, and I had the zaal to myself :D The church bells were sometimes audible, but very faint and even pleasant. My two downsides: the ventilation made the room really cold, and it led to a hall with open windows. The walls are a little thin too, so you’ll need earplugs to sleep.

We were so grateful for how the reception handled our late arrival by car at 2 a.m. They arranged a safe-box handover for the room cards, with lovely email communication before we got there. In the morning, the receptionist even waited for us with breakfast after the buffet had closed, and let us take some food up to the room. We hadn’t expected that at all. It was a great short weekend stay, made even better by the super friendly staff.

Right in the heart of Heerlen, and close to Sonwworld landgraaf. A nice place with friendly staff.
