The staff were warm and did everything they could to help. The rooms, though, are dated and only so-so in terms of upkeep. I also found the hotel less clean than I’d expect, especially in spots you don’t notice right away, like behind the curtains, around the pipes, and by the windows. For me, the price-to-quality balance fell short. Around EUR 70 or 80 a night would feel fair.

We hadn’t realized that under-18s weren’t allowed, but they made a one-time exception for our visit. The people we met today were incredibly friendly. Really lovely of them.

The meal was great, and there were gluten-free and lactose-free options too. Everyone working there was polite. When I arrived, the host greeted me at the main entrance, and a worker offered to take my coat. I walked down the long hallway past the kitchens, which were clean. The view was lovely, everything looked nice, and there’s a really large parking lot with plenty of room for cars.

At €60 for one person in a twin room, the value was very good. The room was spacious, with a big sofa and a two-metre desk, and the bathroom had a double sink and a two-metre tub. Breakfast was included, as was the large parking lot. Some things are dated, but that vintage intercom speaker might even be worth putting up for auction, I guess.

The decor looks tired, but the rooms were very clean. Breakfast was good, and the restaurant served great food. The staff were really nice and took good care of the guests.
