Anna was very helpful, and breakfast was generous with lots of variety. We booked directly with her and had a great stay in this lovely old Amsterdam-style building, surrounded by attractive streets and canals. It’s about a 15-minute walk from Leiden Central Station, with good restaurants nearby. The town is picturesque, and we loved being here.

Breakfast was beautifully served and delicious, and the owner was flexible about bringing trays. She also shared useful tips on places to visit, and her daily affirmations gave us something to think about. We really appreciated the welcome treats, cake and fruit juice on arrival, then chocolate eggs and fresh tulips. The front garden was lovely, and having a fridge, coffee maker, and well-equipped kitchen gave us plenty of freedom, even though we didn’t cook for ourselves. We loved our stay.

A really cozy place in a great spot in the city center. They also made a lovely breakfast that worked for our gluten-free, celiac, and vegetarian dietary needs.

Anna made us a lovely hot breakfast in the morning and gave us helpful pointers for sightseeing, along with an introduction to the heritage building. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. The toilet and small shower were separate, but that didn’t bother us. During tulip season, Leiden was a great base for Keukenhof, and the station is less than a 10-minute walk away for exploring the region. We enjoyed our two nights at De Pelgrimsplaats. One small suggestion: a few more rugs on the cold cement floor might make the room cozier in colder weather.

We found the curtains already closed and the lights on when we got back that evening, such a thoughtful touch. The bed was wonderful, the decor beautiful, and the whole B&B had a cozy feel. It’s on a quiet street right in the center, and breakfast was delicious. The owner also has a very cute vintage shop, so I’ve restocked my winter collection. See you next year!
