We missed having a comfy spot with a sofa and TV on the first floor. The apartment itself was beautiful, and the location right in the heart of Leiden was amazing.

There was a bottle of wine waiting for us when we arrived, and entry to the church is free. The place is unusual in the best way, with all three floors to yourself and a spot right next to the church. The bed was roomy and comfortable. The kitchen had plenty of dishes, a fridge, an egg cooker, a Nespresso machine with capsules, and lots of tea. Just be ready for a steep, narrow staircase. It comes with the old building and adds to its authentic feel.

The former sexton’s house at St. Peter’s Church is such a special place to stay. It has three floors and is fully equipped, with a lovely bathroom that has both a tub and walk-in shower, plus a comfortable double bed upstairs. You’re a short walk from the city center and close to good restaurants. The Café at St. Peter's Church is right there on site.
