You can walk to Keukenhof from here, and the location is excellent. Our room was clean, with a good bed and plenty of wardrobe space, though the pillow was poor and one switch was broken. The entry system worked brilliantly, so there’s no need to worry about having just one card. Breakfast offers a good range of choices, but it isn’t cheap. Recommended.

The check-in worked smoothly even though nobody was at the desk, and the reception staff we did speak to were friendly and helpful. The distance to Keukenhof is walkable, which suited us. But there were lots of small frustrations, and for €112 a night during the Keukenhof season, I didn’t think the stay was worth it. I booked late, though, so I know that affected the price. The room itself wasn’t a major problem overall, but it was cramped for belongings and the bed was uncomfortable. The topper shifted around, the bed moved, and the pillow felt too hard to me. The windows were small and high up, so there wasn’t much sunlight and the blinds didn’t block all the light at bedtime. They also insulated poorly, and at times the room felt cold, though that may depend on the outdoor temperature. The shower holder was broken and stuck at its lowest position, and the flimsy curtain kept clinging to my legs. Light from the hall shone under the uninsulated room door, and we could hear everything in the corridor and from nearby rooms and guests. The reception desk wasn’t staffed all the time, so there was no one to ask when we needed help or had questions. If you’re driving, I’d suggest staying in Amsterdam or somewhere else and making the 40-minute trip to Keukenhof.

A really cozy hotel on the tulip route, and the tulip barns aren’t far away. The front desk staff were pleasant and helped answer our questions about the tulip parade and nearby restaurants.

Lisse is a lovely town, and everything in it is nearby. The mattress was comfortable, the shower was hot, and there’s a large parking area. You can rent a bike right by the door, and the Wi-Fi door entry is automatic.
