We hadn't planned to stay overnight on our spontaneous trip to Maastricht, but we passed this hotel and went in to ask about rooms. The staff were friendly, and we felt welcome right away. We were lucky to get the last room. It was clean and comfortable, with what we needed: a coffee machine, hot water heater, mini fridge, free WiFi, bath and shower, television, queen size bed, and a beautiful view of the square. Thanks, Jay, for bringing the tea choices I asked for. Highly recommend!

A unique place among beautiful historic buildings, with gorgeous rooms and amazing customer service. The food was delicious, and ancient history is all around the restaurant. Absolutely stunning, highly recommend!

Derlon is right in the heart of the city, with everything close by, and the staff are amazingly wonderful. The rooms have all the facilities you need. If you love history, it's an unbelievable place to stay, with some parts of the hotel belonging to the Roman empire. I wouldn't recommend staying anywhere else in Maastricht.

The room was extremely nice, the hotel was excellent, and the staff were the best. I especially want to mention Julianne, and I hope I've spelled her name right. My wife injured herself on the way to the hotel, and Julianne got her into the room early and brought ice and ibuprofen.

For a 5star hotel, I expected better value for the money. Other hotels in the city cost about the same but offer more. Here, the rooms, especially the bathrooms, badly need updating. The towels were worn right through with holes, there were only 3(!) tissues in the box, and the mirrors were dusty. The carpet was worn too, and there was a shower curtain. Housekeeping also came into the room without knocking. Disappointing.
