I stayed for two nights, and the location next to the train station is convenient. The city centre is about 5 km away, though, so it’s not ideal to walk there. Free-flow coffee and soup for guests was a nice touch, and the staff were helpful throughout. Service from check-in to check-out was very good. The room’s cleanliness was very disappointing. The bed didn’t feel clean, and the sheet had a noticeable smell and visible dirt. The toilet hadn’t been cleaned properly and smelled unpleasantly fishy. The AC showed an E7 error, which seemed to indicate an issue with the indoor or outdoor unit. At first the room felt cool, then I noticed the window had been left open for ventilation. Toiletries were limited to bath gel and shampoo, and the towel smelled too. Housekeeping needs significant improvement; the standard was very poor.
10/10
We’ll come back when we’re in Maastricht again. The hotel has a great atmosphere, good rooms and good service, plus a great breakfast. There were lovely little extras too, like unlimited coffee, tea and soup. It’s right next to the station.
6/10
The lobby soup was very good, and the location is great. But I paid over 200 euros a night for six nights and expected at least a basic fridge. There wasn’t one. The shower kept splashing on me and startling me when I used it. The instructions were not clear at all, and I hated that. I can’t recommend this place.
8/10
An easy option for a night or two in Maastricht, with a good location beside the station and a clean bathtub in the room. The rooms don’t look as fancy as the pictures, though, and the pillows were really bad. We didn’t sleep well because of them, which I wouldn’t expect from a hotel. They should change them soon.
6/10
The location is amazing, but breakfast was only average. I booked a month ahead and only realised when I arrived that I’d paid an extremely high price. The bathroom cleaning might need a review, too. I stayed two nights, and the experience was good overall.
