The dinner we had last week felt poorly managed. The food came at different times, and two dishes were taken to the wrong table. I think the supervisor was telling guests how busy they were and showing frustration with other staff, which guests shouldn't have to notice. Hotel Lunia has usually given us a great experience, and it's a beautiful hotel, so the obvious lack of management this time was disappointing.

We loved the four-course surprise menu we tried over three nights, with no repeats and everything tasting really good. Breakfast was a buffet with lots of options and fresh ingredients, and the surrounding area is lovely, full of greenery and nature. The service was especially friendly and polite. Everyone seemed to care about doing a good job, which was the first time I'd experienced that in the Netherlands.

The room was clean and serviced daily, and it was a nice, spacious deluxe room in the new wing. The beds could do with replacing, though, and there was nowhere comfortable to sit, just two dining chairs. We could hear doors banging and footsteps from the second floor. Breakfast was very basic, and there wasn't a toaster.

The restaurant serves really high-quality food, and breakfast is excellent. Staff are attentive too. I always enjoy staying here: the room is very nice and comfortable, spotlessly clean, and the bed is really comfortable. I can definitely recommend Hotel Lunia.

Booking through their website was easy and cheaper than any other booking service I found. Each room has its own porch, which my husband, who smokes, really enjoys. The interior is clean and chic, with a traditional touch. It's a quiet hotel surrounded by actual nature, with birds singing and a breeze outside. Sitting there and enjoying their homemade tea is just perfect.
