Camping De Koeksebelt

A great base for a stay, especially with dogs. There are lots of walks to do together.

The location is great for kids, and I came back this May holiday with my family. This time I wasn't as satisfied as before. The cottage doesn't offer complete privacy, since land just a few metres in front is rented out. The shop prices are high, though the cafe prices seem normal. Bed linen costs too much, and the showers are very basic: they turn cold after a while, so you have to wait for warm water again.

It’s only a few minutes’ walk into Ommen center, and some pitches by the river have lovely views. The facilities are spotless, with all the usual extras like a pool, restaurant and playground. I even saw a coin-operated bath in a bathroom, which was a first for me at a campsite. It’s a big place and quite expensive, and I’d say it’s especially suited to families with children.

There are pitches among the trees and out on the big fields, as well as a large spot right by the water like the one we had. The kids can keep busy all day, either on their own or with the entertainment crew. Even with so many activities and young children around, we didn’t hear any noise from them at our pitch.
