Van der Valk Theaterhotel Roermond

There’s a small self-service shop in reception that’s open around the clock, and parking is right next door, with a discount available from reception. Breakfast was very good, with a huge range and plenty of tables and seating. The city-centre location in Roermond is great, and the rooms have small balconies and no noise from neighbors. I’ve stayed here before and would come back when I’m in town. Nothing bad to say.

The theater concept gives this hotel a distinctive feel, and the restaurant and café are really enjoyable. The staff were welcoming and attentive, and the food and products were delicious. A wonderful place, highly recommended!

During my last visit in mid-February, I was very disappointed by the receptionist’s service and lack of consideration for clients. At check-in, I explained that I would be staying alone, not as a couple as the confirmation email said. The receptionist acknowledged this and told me it wouldn’t be a problem. At checkout, I raised it again and said I shouldn’t be charged for double occupancy. The receptionist on duty then, who was different from the one at check-in, said it was too late to change and I should have told them earlier. When I reminded her that I had done so at check-in, she became very unfriendly and insisted nothing could be done. That was the end of the conversation for her. I find this unacceptable and expect the hotel to correct the charge.

I stayed here for a week and had a lovely time. It’s about a five-minute walk from station roermond. Breakfast had plenty of options, including bread, eggs, different kinds of fruit, and non-vegetarian food. The place was nicely decorated for 🎄🎁.
