citizenM Rotterdam

I've stayed here three times, for several nights each time, and really like the hotel. The rooms are on the small side but comfortable, with a great bed and enough storage. Everyone on staff is super friendly.

For the price, the rooms were impressively good, and getting to the main part of rotterdam was easy. A metro, train, and tram station are all about a minute away on foot. The staff were very friendly and always ready to help. Amazing hotel and experience, 10/10.

The bathroom door was my one issue: it doesn't lock and has a little gap underneath, so you can hear everything during a shower or toilet visit. I'd suggest this place more for solo travellers or couples than for two colleagues. Apart from that, the location is very convenient, with restaurants and bars right beside the hotel, including some with outdoor tables by the lake. Markthal Rotterdam is a five-minute walk, and other popular streets are about 15-20 minutes away. Check-in was quick, and a staff member helped me use the iPad system. We were even let in two hours early because our room was ready. The room was very clean and nice, with a huge bed, about two by two metres. An iPad controls the lights, air conditioning, and TV, and you can stream from your own Spotify or Netflix account. The shower was excellent.

The person working in the canteen was so sweet when we had breakfast at 6am on January 25. That service really made our day. I've never had a better experience, and we'll definitely be back.
