De Brenkberg Schinveld

Our three-bedroom chalet was spotless, roomy, and had everything we needed for one night. It would make a great base for exploring nearby, but there isn’t much else to do on site. Breakfast at the bar was lovely. Just don’t count on the bar being open in the evening, it wasn’t open on the Friday night we stayed. The accommodation itself was perfect.

For €125 a night, we ended up looking from the trailer bedroom window, past three pine trees, at the back of someone’s house about 25 metres away. It felt like a trailer park. We paid for the more expensive place, though a smaller unit with a shared bathroom would have been an option too.

The owners were relaxed and pleasant, and the log cabin was amazing for a one-night stay. It was so well equipped for the price, and the place works really well as a base.

There are small, quiet cabins in a range of sizes, with either full or partial amenities. The staff were very friendly, and there’s a good-sized town nearby with plenty of shops and restaurants. I’d love to stay again.
