The dinners were a highlight, with a choice of four or five courses, great variety, and a fantastic experience. There's also a fantastic spa, a good location, and a fine wine selection. Breakfast, though, wasn't up to the premium pricing. The breakfast room and egg station fell short: the eggs were poorly prepared, oily, and not nice, so I'd skip breakfast. Service needs to improve to earn five stars. At these prices I expect premium service, but sometimes I had to wait around or look for staff to order. They also forgot the pet charge and asked about it afterwards, which was a bit silly. If you forget it, that's your loss.

This was our third stay, and things have become severely worse. The view from our rooms was stunning, but this will be our last visit. Room 25 was large but completely outdated. The reading lamps were set low, right above the bed, so you had to watch your head. The bathroom was a disaster: the worn sink and bath, a five-minute wait for warm water, and a shower that soaked the whole floor. None of the windows or doors had fly screens, so out in the countryside insects got in within minutes. We had two other rooms; those had been renovated, but their bathrooms hadn't. For two people, the room cost €411 including breakfast and a so-called 'gastronomic surprise dinner.' Dinner wasn't good either. The dishes were too simple and the meat was 'not a point.' The included glass of cheap champagne and cup of coffee pretending to be espresso didn't match the price. The wine by the glass was average, and water was expensive because it wasn't mineral water in a bottle. We had to ask for butter, and the second serving of bread never arrived. You'd need too much money and not much taste to recommend this place.

I've stayed at this lovely hotel several times. The rooms were beautiful and modern, with spacious bathrooms. I especially enjoyed the infinity pool on the upper level of the top floor, the water beds, and the view over the hills. We also had a great dinner at their restaurant.

The location, swimming pool, and surroundings were beautiful when my mother and I went for a day spa two weeks ago for her birthday. I definitely wouldn't recommend the manicure, though. They pretty much butchered both our nails, leaving serious scratches that hadn't been buffed and filing them unevenly and roughly. The nail polish was already peeling off within 24 hours. I raised the problem at reception and by email, but there was no compensation and my email was ignored. The other wellness treatments, a massage, body wrapping, and facial, were pretty average. One thing to know about the lunch salad: drinks aren't included. We weren't told that when asked what we'd like to drink, so don't be surprised by an extra bill at the end of the day on top of the €150 per person we'd already paid.
