Hotel Broer Zus

We had to leave after one night because loud music continued all night, reaching up to 70 dB. The owners agreed to a partial refund, then stopped responding. I filed a complaint with the city because the place isn't up to code and shouldn't be operating. Don't rely on the older reviews. They were for a restaurant that's now closed. This "hotel" is review squatting.

Our one-night stay met our needs, and the rooms were nicely done in a good location. But I'm cheesed off by how misleading this place feels. Many reviews seem to be for the restaurant that used to be here. There isn't a restaurant now, and this is more like an apartment, without apartment amenities or the usual hotel services. There's no breakfast, luggage storage, room service, reception, or shared sitting area. The main problem was the incredibly loud bar downstairs, open late. If you need to sleep before 2:30 on a weekend or 1 am on a weekday, don't book here. There's no kitchen or sitting area either, so it has neither the benefits of an apartment nor the advantages of a hotel. The bedrooms don't have a door between them, which meant we had to sit in the dark when putting the kids to bed. It's reasonably priced and right in the town center if all you need is somewhere to sleep. But it won't suit anyone wanting a nice hotel or a spacious apartment. I don't think I could have managed two nights. I'd probably have given more stars if it hadn't felt so dishonest, with the listing presenting it as a hotel and leaning on good reviews from the previous business.

The hosts were easy and friendly to communicate with, and the flat was laid out well. It was spotless and right in the center. Everything worked out perfectly!

People were lovely here, and the food was just as good. For lunch in central The Hague, I especially recommend the planche, but make sure to order it for two to share.
