Ocean House Scheveningen

We booked a self-catering package holiday with EasyJet and made our own way from the airport. The hotel connects well to the city on tram lines 1 and 11, and it’s less than a 10-minute walk to the beach. The stretch of high street it’s on is beautiful, with independent shops, cafes, and restaurants. Would really recommend Folia for pizza. I’d seen mixed reviews, but the location, room size, and modern amenities were all excellent. Our large room had a comfy sofa bed for our 15-year-old, who can be picky. He said it was comfortable and slept really well. We’ll be back.

We slept like babies. The beds were great, the curtains kept the room nice and dark, and the kitchen had everything we needed. Staff were super friendly and helpful. We also loved opening the doors with our phones, so there was no card or key to carry. Restaurants are right beside and across from the entrance. Breakfast at Nik’s is highly recommended. The pier and tourist centre of Scheveningen are an easy stroll along the boulevard. A wonderful apartment and hotel, and we absolutely recommend it.

A really nice stay for a great price. The room was spacious and clean, with a living area, kitchenette, and bathroom, and it was fully equipped. The virtual assistant and digital key that works with phone support are bold ideas, but helpful and easy to use.

Ocean house was a great base for our family of five, and the staff were welcoming. The beach is just a two-minute walk, the grocery store three minutes, and restaurants are right outside. We’d recommend it and would stay again. One thing to know: on Saturday night the restaurant bar out front stays open until midnight and gets loud. Our large family room was right at the front, but the noise didn’t keep the kids up.
