WARNING: there are mice problems, so I’d avoid this address. Mouse traps are installed in the apartment, including hidden behind the curtains, and my daughter nearly hurt herself on one. Besides being very unhygienic, I felt it was unsafe for children. The owner gives different accounts of when a mouse was last seen and doesn’t acknowledge a problem. They say it’s resolved, but still want to leave the traps there just in case.

The street and building are lovely, but the dust everywhere and the poor customer care made this a negative experience. Our door wouldn’t lock properly because the locker was broken. The helpline assistant kept saying we hadn’t understood the entry instructions, and it took several calls and emails before someone came to fix it. We waited almost two hours and had to leave for dinner with the room open. By the time we returned around 11 pm, it had been fixed. At checkout, I got a standard email reminding us to leave by 9.30 am and asking for feedback. I reported both issues, then received a very bad comment accusing us of breaking the door and not paying the city tax, even though we had paid it 2 days before arrival. I would never stay at one of their places again.

There were four of us in the Anna Paulowna apartment at the Stadsvilla, and it exceeded what we expected. We wanted a cozy hotel with a private kitchen and bathroom within walking distance of restaurants and attractions, and got even more. The bathroom was a dream and larger than we’d imagined, while the living area was huge and the kitchen well equipped with everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and the internet was as fast as promised. We’d recommend spending a few days in Tilburg here and hope to stay again.

We asked for two single beds but were given a double, and despite emailing and calling many times, they never fixed their mistake. The code door instructions were also quite difficult to follow. Customer service was unhelpful and showed no empathy. Really poor service, and an unfortunate hotel choice for a nice city. I strongly recommend against staying here.

It was a lovely, spacious room with tasteful decor, a TV, and a clean shared kitchen. The bed could be raised electrically. I personally wasn’t comfortable with the number-code door. There was no hook or anything similar on the inside, and it always left me feeling vulnerable. I assume they’re careful about who gets the code, but I just don’t like that setup.
