The location made it easy to see the city: Dom Tower is a two-minute walk away, and a few minutes further brought us to the center by the canal. We came to Utrecht for the first time and chose the hotel based on other guests' feedback. They were right. We were warmly welcomed, loved the room's high ceiling, traditional shutters and chandelier, and had a tasty, filling breakfast that kept us going all day. A great stay, thank you.

The biggest issue was the noise, and I probably wouldn't return because of it. You can hear a sneeze from the next room as if the person were beside you, and the people above sounded like they were wearing wooden shoes. I barely heard the church bells, though, and found them quite charming. I wouldn't recommend it to light sleepers, tired travelers who need a good night's sleep, partiers, couples wanting privacy, or families with babies or small children, mostly for other guests' sake. I stayed in comfort room .06, on the first floor, which is actually the second floor, so there was a winding staircase to carry my suitcase up and down. The toilet was separate from the rest of the bathroom, a bit odd. The shutters instead of curtains completely blacked out the room and probably helped with street noise. Beijers is a cute historic B&B-style hotel in central Utrecht, with gorgeous, distinctive decor and friendly, helpful desk staff.

Really beautiful place to stay. My room was styled so nicely, with lots of lovely little details. Greetings from Germany.

The accommodation was lovely and the staff were friendly, but I had the worst night's sleep I've ever had in a hotel. The cathedral bells rang every 15 minutes, with a longer ring every hour. My Garmin watch says I got three and a half hours of sleep, though I think it was much less.

I love the old-fashioned feel here, especially compared with all the modern hotel chains. Excellent hotel, and the full five stars are well deserved.
