Logement Swaenenvecht

Breakfast was delicious, the setting was super nice, and the service was great. It’s a lovely place with beautiful century-old decorations. One of the rooms we rented was on the top floor and got extremely hot. I’d suggest fixing that or not renting that room out.

I had the room beside the entrance. It looked nice from outside and the view was good, but the noise made me feel like jumping in the river with concrete shoes.

Breakfast was great, and the person serving it was friendly. Room 4 was generally comfortable, with comfortable beds, but it was noisy since it’s right by the kitchen. The layout was interesting. The biggest disappointment was ants all over the bathroom sink and counter. The person showing us around just apologized, said there was a problem, and hoped we wouldn’t mind. I’d wanted to love the place, but I personally wouldn’t stay again or recommend it. The booking system was poor. The confirmation named one property but gave the address for the wrong one. They have two places some distance apart, about an hour by boat. I’d tried to confirm the details with the hotel beforehand but got no reply, which made the mix-up especially unfortunate.

The garden was lovely, and I really enjoyed spending time there. This is a unique, peaceful place in a fascinating historic building, renovated and modernized with lots of character. The staff were extremely nice and accommodating. I wish I’d had more time here; it was a very quiet, peaceful stay.
