NH Centre Utrecht

The restaurant and service were wonderful, but the amenities were lacking. The first room smelled bad, so I asked to move. The hotel is old, and the rooms feel a bit tired. My mattress was lumpy enough that I could feel the coil springs. I was disappointed because this didn't meet the usual NH standards and consistency. They say that's because the building is historic, but the rooms should still be more comfortable. For standard NH quality, stay at the other NH near the train station.

The staff were friendly and helpful, but the stay was disappointing. At night the room was noisy and shook whenever a large vehicle went by. The bathroom was so small there was barely room to stand when getting out of the shower, and the carpet was uncomfortable underfoot. The room needed renovation. I knew in advance the elevator was out of order, but it was still inconvenient. The location is supposed to be good because there's a bus stop outside, but the advertised buses never came, which added to my frustration.

The rooms were nicely maintained, and the hotel is right in Utrecht city center. It's accessible by road, with dedicated parking nearby for an extra fee.

During my short business trip, I had a great stay at NH Centre Utrecht. I slept really well in the spacious, quiet room, especially thanks to the super comfortable bed. It had a Nespresso machine, a mini fridge, and the usual bathroom essentials. The reception team were very friendly, and I was pleasantly surprised to be picked as “Guest of the Day” and given a room upgrade. Highly recommended, and thanks to the staff for the chocolates!
