The beds were really comfortable, and everything was clean and well looked after. The hotel is close to the restaurants and shops, but the area wasn’t too noisy at night. The staff were absolutely lovely, and we had such a nice stay. Thanks so much to all the amazing staff at hotel Botterweck. We’ll most definitely stay again if we return to the area.

We stayed one night in a standard room, and the view from it was nice. The bed felt a little too soft for me, but I slept well. At breakfast, there were good vegetarian choices, including bread, croissants, vegetables, cheeses, and really good orange juice. The receptionist was friendly and welcoming. You can’t drive right up to the hotel, so I’d leave the car in a nearby parking lot. It cost around 5.5 euros for the night, from 18:00 to 11:30. A nice hotel near the city center, and a really good stay.

The location is outstanding, with plenty of restaurants, cafes, and bars just a minute away. One receptionist was friendly and helpful, taking time to chat and give us directions. The rooms are cramped, with little space to move around, and there’s no fridge. They weren’t cleaned properly, though the towels, bedding, and duvet were clean. There were lots of cobwebs in the room and around the windows. The walls and ceiling didn’t block sound well at all, so we could easily hear the neighbors on both sides and upstairs talking, moving around, watching TV, and doing other things. Breakfast was scheduled from 8:30 to 10:30, which didn’t work for us, but they agreed to start at 8 when we explained we needed to leave early each day. The smell of bacon reached the floors every morning and wasn’t pleasant. The lobby closes at 10 p.m., so after that there’s no water, tea, coffee, or anything else until morning.

The room was small but cozy, comfortable, and very clean. Staff were kind and attentive, and breakfast was served well. I was very happy with my choice, and they even sent me off with a few small things to take home. I’d definitely recommend this hotel. It’s right in Valkenburg’s most touristy spot. Parking costs €11 per day if there’s availability, or the public car park costs €1.90 per hour from 11:00 to 20:00.

We spent a very pleasant five days here for the Valkenburg Christmas celebrations. The hotel had recently reopened and has 3 stars. Our suite had a kitchen, so we didn’t need to eat out every time. The rooms were very nice, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. I don’t speak Dutch, but everyone I met spoke English or German. We watched the Christmas parade from our balcony as it ended right in front of the hotel. Thanks, and hopefully we’ll see you next year.
