Teugel Resort Veghel

We were a group of ten or more, and several issues stood out. At checkout we had to wait a long time because the receptionist printed invoices with incorrect names, and this affected multiple people. The rooms looked visibly unclean, as if they were rarely cleaned. There were white marks on the carpets, heavy yellow staining on the bathroom tiles, and stains on some towels. We also saw bugs, including spiders and cockroaches. The mattresses were badly worn and felt like you were sinking into a hole. In the hallways there was a bad smell, like burnt electrical wiring or damp that had built up, and you could see dampness on the walls above the carpets.

Debby at reception deserves a medal. I arrived very late on a last-minute business trip, and she welcomed me as if I’d just come home. She turned what had felt like a dreadful journey into a really nice one. The beds are comfortable, the internet is fast, and the hotel itself is perfectly suitable. Thanks again.

It’s a small, very quiet hotel, which is nice. The staff are really friendly, and breakfast is the usual sort you get in the Netherlands. The bathroom could have been cleaner, but I’m not complaining.

For the price, the hotel is okay, about average. My room was surprisingly hot even though it was cold outside. There was a heating pipe under the floor, which I didn’t like. Opening the window wasn’t an option because of the heavy traffic outside.
