Golden Tulip

Okay.

Nearby shops include Coop, Aldi, a bakery, and a pharmacy, with a hospital and public transport close by too. The kitchen is large, and there’s also a smaller kitchen with induction cooktops. But only a few of the laundry room’s washing machines work. The weekends brought Arabic songs and ballads blaring at full volume. We were given a filthy room full of bedbugs that someone had moved out of the day before. They wouldn’t transfer us to another room, so we had to clean it ourselves. The place was a complete mess, Romanians and bohemians. I don’t recommend it. Stay away!

The bathroom had just been redone and the room looked great when we arrived, though it was on the small side. It worked perfectly well for two. We booked two nights with breakfast through the Blokker promotion and were warmly welcomed. Breakfast had plenty of choice and dishes were replenished promptly. Arnhem city centre was easy to reach by bus, with lots of shopping nearby. We’d happily return.

The place has lost whatever charm it once had. Our room hadn’t been vacated as it should have been, and there was dirt and filth everywhere. Bottles and cans seemed to be left without anyone cleaning up. I don’t recommend Sodowa and Gomora at all. It’s pathetic now.
