We booked two rooms in the secondary buildings, and both were in poor condition despite the beautiful photos of the main house. The bathrooms weren’t clean, the mattresses were very old and had holes you slept in, and the showers had no pressure and couldn’t be set to cold. The bar shut at 23:30, which is disgraceful. We’re very unhappy and won’t return.

Breakfast in the elegant dining room had a great range of fresh options. The rooms were spacious, clean and nicely decorated, mixing modern comfort with historic character. This hotel on the Landgoed Huize Bergen estate sits in beautiful surroundings, and the tree-lined drive immediately felt elegant and peaceful. We had a wonderful stay and will definitely come back, whether for a romantic break or a quiet business trip.

In the bedroom, there was a window in the ceiling that looked amazing during the day. I arrived late in the evening and found a clean, atmospheric room spread over two floors. The next morning felt like stepping into a movie: the main building and grounds are incredibly beautiful, and breakfast was good. The atmosphere was pleasant whatever the weather. I stayed from October 20 to 24.

The setting was one of the highlights, with lovely little buildings and fairy lights surrounded by nature. Our rooms looked out toward the forest, and they were clean and nicely decorated. We had a delicious walking dinner with my company, and the friendly, professional staff handled all our different dietary restrictions without a problem. I’m looking forward to coming back.
