Comfort Hotel Bergen

The service was what made this stay memorable. Everyone who worked there said hello, which felt like such a nice change from other places. The room cleaners were lovely, and the kitchen team seemed to have good energy and respect for one another. The night-time Barception man served me tea on the first night, then remembered me and brought tea again when I returned the next night. Such a thoughtful touch! I was in Bergen for the first time and stayed over the weekend. The location was great, breakfast had a good range and was kept replenished. The room felt a little old and could use a few small jobs, but it was very clean. I also liked that they prioritised Sustainability. Thanks for a memorable stay 💛💛

The rooms and breakfast were both very nice, and the hotel is in an accessible spot. Most of the reception staff were friendly and kind. The evening receptionist with glasses and a beard, though, seemed angry whenever we asked him anything, even something small like getting ice cubes. We greeted him each time we came in, but he only stared and never said hello back. It felt awkward.

It poured the whole time we were in Bergen, so being right in the city made it easy to explore from the river up to the hilltop and back to our cosy room. Sadly, we didn’t get to see the aurora.

The stay felt uncomfortable and overpriced. The rooms were extremely small, there was no kitchen, and the cleanliness was poor: I found someone else’s hair in the bed. There was visible mold in the shower, which is especially concerning because I’m sensitive to mold. They advertise parking, but the “discounted” rate was over $80 and the lot was several blocks away.
