I went for afternoon tea with friends, and the experience was really disappointing. The gluten-free menu had sandwiches, fruit, and just two small blueberry cupcakes. The sandwiches and fruit were good, but the bread was clearly from the freezer. The regular menu had sandwiches, scones with clotted cream and jam, croissants with scrambled eggs, fruit, macaroons, and cake.

The room was on the small side, and the bathroom layout was unusual enough to limit privacy. The shower pressure was outstanding, though. We could walk to most of Bergen’s sights, and the staff, service, and cleanliness were excellent. Breakfast was delicious with plenty to choose from. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed having a balcony for some sun, and breakfast was great. The timed breakfast slots also seemed like an efficient way to handle the crowds. We stayed two nights while visiting Bergen, and the location was excellent. Our room, though, felt quite dated and could use some maintenance.

The hotel’s location was perfect for us, with shopping, lots of restaurants, the harbour, and public transport nearby. Our room was clean and very nice, and breakfast had a very good selection. Dogs are welcome too. We stayed for two days and would definitely return.

There are plenty of hotel choices, and this one is a must-pass for me. The staff were unfriendly and seemed to care about guests as little as they care about their first pair of socks. If you like being treated like cattle, this is the place.
