Bleik and Andenes made for a great weekend. I spent two nights in the RORBU and, since I was the only guest, had the whole second floor to myself. The room was clean and worked well, and I managed fine despite the weather.

The cabin we got didn't match the description on Expedia, and the service was poor. What really worried me was finding a fire alarm in the cabin that was 19 months past its expiry date and dated 2013. I don't think that's acceptable for a business, since it could put lives at risk. We called the front desk, and Cris came over. Cris was rude and aggressive in tone, saying the alarm still worked because its light was blinking. That only shows it has power, not that its sensors work. There's a reason these alarms have expiry dates, and this lack of care is a joke and against Norwegian Fire Code. AVOID THIS PLACE.

The beds are two bunk beds plus a double bed with a ladder, and the ceiling is very low. Still, it's a lovely cabin right on the beach, with beautiful views and good equipment. Reception is rarely open, so you have to call for help. Getting the access code by phone ahead of time would have made things much easier.

We did two fantastic hikes during our three nights here, and still have a few tours left to do. We'd love to come back. The showers were wonderfully hot, and it was easy to pay by card for the washing machines and dryers. It was such a lovely stay.
