Radisson Blu Hotel, Bodo

Hanna at the front desk was such a bright, bubbly, friendly person. She gave me good ideas for things to do and try, helped me get what I needed for the room, and arranged a late checkout. The hotel's staff and the area were both great. My standard room was nice, though there wasn't enough space for clothes. Finding an outlet for the kettle was awkward too, and I had to pull the desk out. Breakfast and service were great. Hanna is a credit to Radisson hotels, and I hope I can come back one day. I got to see the northern lights in Bodø, too.

The rooms are small but clean, and the staff were very helpful. I liked the breakfast option at 25 USD, and there are lots of restaurants within walking distance, plus a bowling alley downstairs. It's a nice hotel, but parking is a real hassle. I got a ticket just moving my luggage into the lobby. The EasyPark app doesn't cover APCOA, and US phones can't download the APCOA app through Google Play. Find a parking house and use the machine. Be prepared to haul your bags through the snow.

The entrance feels more like a train station in a grey city than a four-star hotel. Come on, Radisson, you can do better. The location and view are nice, though. Rooms are okay but smaller than at other Radisson locations, and breakfast was okay with room to improve.

You can walk to everything from here, even the airport. The Asian fusion restaurant is attached to the hotel, so there's no need to head out into the cold. The bowling alley downstairs being open on Sundays is a nice bonus.
