The breakfast was top notch and really enjoyable. My room was quite simple and small, though I’m sure the hotel has better ones. It was easy to find the hotel, but I got misled by there being two Scandic hotels close together and had to walk another four minutes to reach the right one. The hotel is in central Bodø, and I walked there from the airport in about 20 minutes with just a bag on my back. With more luggage, I think I’d take the bus or a taxi.

The room was small, but clean and cozy, and the receptionist was really helpful. Breakfast had tasty, fresh food, including vegan and gluten free options. We stayed for one night. The only issue we ran into was noise from the bar across the street.

The staff were amazing, genuinely friendly, and took great care of us. Our room was comfortable and had a nice sea view. Still, the facilities are in poor shape and the hotel really needs a major upgrade. There were marks on the walls, and the vending machines in the lobby gave it the feel of a place for low-budget travelers, without the bargain price. We were a little unhappy with the value, especially since what we paid was comparable to other hotels in the area. With better management, this place has the potential to be amazing.

One room was missing from our group booking, but the staff fixed that quickly and went the extra mile when things didn’t go as planned. The breakfast was very good too. A very good hotel.

The clean room, fresh linen and towels, comfortable beds, and buffet breakfast were the good parts. But this was the worst of the nine Scandic hotels we’ve stayed in on this trip. The receptionist was unfriendly, the corridors had depressing decor, and the room was small. You could see the sea only by craning your neck.
