Bardøla Cottages

We had a spacious, warm studio apartment with a little kitchen, and the staff were lovely. The ski bus stops right outside, with the ski storage room by the entrance. It's a great hotel, though the centre of Geilo is about a 20-minute walk away.

We had a cabin with four bedrooms, a large living area, a kitchen and two bathrooms. Parking was right outside, and there was a charging point in front of the hotel. We could also use the hotel's pool and gym, which was really nice. The slopes are a six-minute drive away. Would visit again, 10/10.

The accommodation was fantastic and very high quality during our Christmas 2025 stay on a Crystal Ski package. The ski bus only runs for a short time in the morning and again for a short spell in the late afternoon. Crystal Ski's sales literature says it's a 10-minute walk to Slatta ski school, but it's more like 18 minutes uphill, so keep that in mind.

We spent two nights in the Kings Cabin and loved the lodge. It was quiet, private and luxurious. At Sophia's restaurant we had a burger and a club sandwich, both really good. You could tell the meat came from local producers, and the quality made us want more, though we were already full. We took a brownie to enjoy later, too.
