Thon Hotel Bronnoysund

I had a late flight and asked for a late checkout. Thomas at reception checked the next day’s cancellations and let me keep the room until 6pm. That made the long journey home much easier. Thanks for a great stay.

The breakfast spread had plenty of choice and the food was lovely. The staff were pleasant, friendly and helpful, and the hotel itself was comfortable. The one issue was that the hot buffet food was often lukewarm, since there didn’t seem to be an effective way to keep it warm. Aside from that, a splendid stay.

I was happy with my stay. The room had enough space for my wheelchair, though only just, since I hadn’t checked that I was booking the accessible room. The bath was roomy enough. The restaurant doesn’t open on Sundays, but the concierge suggested a delivery option, and I enjoyed the dinner I ordered. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.

Brønnøysund’s surrounding nature is beautiful and worth visiting in its own right. The hotel is central, modern and comfortable, with rooms that are small but do the job. The restaurant is okay. It may feel a little expensive, but that’s Norway, I suppose. The rooms seem about standard for the country.
