We had a good dinner at an affordable price. I’d seen older complaints about the food, but it seems the menu has changed since then. I also liked that reindeer is on offer and that they handle allergens well. For a mountain motel, the standard is a little better than expected, though it’s still not hotel standard. There are practical facilities for drying clothes, nice shared showers downstairs, a sauna, and a cosy cellar lounge. Good value for money.

We arrived too late for regular breakfast, so my boyfriend and I ordered baguettes instead. The chef made them fresh and served them with side salads. Louis (please forgive the spelling if it’s wrong) was a wonderful host, and we really appreciated the hospitality. The baguettes were warm, and we enjoyed the stop.

The kids loved this place. We headed straight out from the door for a hike on our own, and the mountains are right there. There are also guided hikes, and the bus to Snøheim leaves from here. The rooms were clean and the location was great, with newly upgraded bathrooms. There’s a gym downstairs and a recently redone TV room, and the staff were nice.

The people working here were so friendly, and everything looked new. We had a nice relaxing area and gym, plus big, clean toilets and showers. The beds were comfortable and the place was super clean. Food choices are limited and it’s expensive, but what we had was really good. We especially enjoyed the sauna at midnight 🥵😍.
