Krokane Camping

We felt at home here, and the whole team deserves a warm thank you. The owner and staff go above and beyond, and the owner has a clear vision for improving the place. There's something for different kinds of stays: cosy, well equipped, luxurious cabins for families, camper pitches with fjord views, and tent pitches. The site is dog friendly, with even a dog stick library. Laundry with washers and dryers is included in the price, and guests can use a fully equipped kitchen, a fish cleaning station, and a smoker. There's also a small harbour where you can rent a boat. For colder or rainy evenings, there are several family areas, rooms, and game rooms. Highly recommended.

The toilets were clean, but the washing and drying machines at the campsite didn't work. The hosting team seemed to be a bunch of teenagers. They told me not to put my feet on the coffee table and to drink from a glass instead of wasting disposable cups, then tried to argue with me about it. They also literally required me to tip them for a service they said was free. The site didn't feel relaxing at all, mainly because one-day caravans kept arriving and leaving. The culture is based on swingers. I'd drive on to another place with more competition, or stay in a hotel.

The campsite is about 1.5 km from Florø, with a bus stop just 50 metres from the entrance. It's a beautiful place to stay, with a perfect fjord view and two easy spots to get into the water. You can rent huts, camper vans, or tents. The toilets and showers are very clean, spacious, and hotel standard, with access for handicapped people. There's a small kitchen for preparing your own meals, and washing machines and tumble dryers are free. Small cafes and boat hire are available too.

We came by camper and got a beautiful spot right by the water. The facilities have a modern style and are kept clean, and the owner runs the place really well. There's a range of activities on site, including indoor options for rainy days. We liked it so much that we decided to stay longer. Definitely recommend!
