The lobby is a lovely spot for a drink by the fireplace, and the hotel is tastefully decorated. Breakfast was great too. It was nice to find out at reception that dinner was included, so we could get something to eat straight away. The afternoon cake was nice, and the little note beside it was sweet.

Our room was lovely and clean, and the bed was really comfortable. I also appreciated that the hotel welcomes dogs. The receptionist was extremely kind and welcoming. Dinner and breakfast were both buffets with a nice variety. Parking in the garage costs 170 NOK per night. Home Hotel in Grimstad is a beautiful place, and I can warmly recommend a stay.

The rooms were clean and spacious, and the reception staff were kind. It’s a very nice hotel with good service. Breakfast and dinner were included and good, served as a buffet where you help yourself, Swedish table style. For fancier meals, you’ll need to go into the city.

The place is stylish and the service was friendly, but the “view” from the family room I booked was just three meters to the next house’s wall, with the neighbors’ garbage there too. That wasn’t what I expected from a room advertised “with a view.” The receptionist explained that the hotel calls any room not facing the inside of the hotel a room with a view.
