Really nice cottages, with very nice bathrooms and a shower. The bathrooms are a bit small, but that's okay. Bring your own bedsheets if you can, otherwise it's 85kr per person to rent them. The wi-fi is good too :)

The owners were friendly and relaxed, and made the hospitality feel familiar. We had a small cabin for four people. It was compact, but very clean, warm, and simply yet well maintained. The price was very good. It's a little too far from Hemsedal's main ski area, which is 40 km away.

Torpo Gjestegård AS has hotel rooms, apartments, and cabins at reasonable prices, and the owner clearly loves the outdoors. That gives the place a great karma. In winter it's an ideal basecamp for skiing and snowboarding, with many resorts easy to reach by car. You can check the weather in the morning and choose which valley or mountain looks best that day. In summer, there are great hikes and cycling trips. I really recommend this place!

The surroundings are very beautiful, which was a plus. The place itself felt quite run down, though, and it seemed the room hadn't been properly serviced before we arrived. There was a lot of dust, which affects my allergies.

We wanted views and nature rather than pavement camping, so we ended up here 🙌🏻 The new owner is just lovely, and we had such a good time ❤️ There is renovating to do, but the place is already so, so charming. We can't wait to come back next holiday and see how it's going. Please keep the "beds and wafles" sign, that's what made us fall in love with the place 🥰🥰 There's a small vintage shop, a big dining room, a bike park for kids, a river to swim in, a gym, wafles, food and drinks, plus cottages and space for tents and camping waggons.
