We booked an apartment with a balcony, but there wasn’t one, and it didn’t look like the nice apartment in the photos. When I raised it with the manager, he said it wasn’t their problem but “Bookings.com”. Don’t book here!

The room was dirty, with dirt visible all over the floor, and the bathroom was disgusting, with paint peeling off. Parking was really hard to find, and the hotel had no view. The fridge was so noisy, and we could hear loud noise whenever a neighbor used water. WiFi is free because they use someone else’s WiFi, but it didn’t work inside the room. Check-in is at 17:00, and early check-in costs an extra 200 NOK. Think carefully before booking this place.

The owner asked us to cancel through Booking and book directly with him, but he never confirmed cancellation of the original booking. As a result, we paid twice for that night and never got a reply to our claim. Be aware. We recommend avoiding Tyskhella if you’re in Lofoten. In response to the owner: You knew perfectly well that Booking would never refund us. That’s why, to keep the reservation, you asked us to transfer the money to you straight away. We understand if you have a problem with Booking, but then you shouldn’t keep offering your accommodation on its platform and benefiting from its visibility. All you did was pass your problem on to your client.

A very good budget place. It’s quiet and comfortable, and only a five-minute walk from kavelberg sentrum. solvaber sentrum is about 15 minutes away by bus, with the ride costing around 50-60Kr. Extra is nearby for groceries.

The stairs and pavement were slippery, and the rooms were only a three out of ten for cleanliness and equipment. It was cold, there was no view, and a house opposite blocked everything. The place felt like a deep commune.
