A good enough place to stop for a night or two if you've been on the road for hours. The location is cool, and the place itself is okay. Don't expect anything luxurious, and sheets and pillowcases cost extra.

We booked the shared toilet cabin through Priceline for a September night and paid about $60. The unit was clean, comfortable, and more spacious than expected, and the host was kind and informative. The shared facilities were around 100 yards away in the main building: one toilet room, one shower room, and one room with both. Everything was clean and had hot water; the host gave us the coins for the showers. It was easy to get to, with pretty views by the water. We'd book again and recommend it.

There isn't any food or drink service, but Otta is about 25km away and has plenty of options. I had dinner there before arriving. The little, fully equipped hamlets sit in beautiful surroundings, and I wish I'd had time to stay longer. The one thing I'd change is having to bring and set up my own linen and pillow or blanket cases, unless I paid extra.

The cottages were lovely, and the people at reception were nice. We had everything we needed. Recommendable.

The owner charged us an extra £100 for three rooms because some breadcrumbs were left behind. We'd spent the morning hoovering and mopping, and even provided proof of it. It's a great place to stay, but please be cautious before booking.
