We were there outside the main season, so the hotel was fairly quiet, in a calm area surrounded by gorgeous Norwegian forests. The restaurant deserves special mention. Breakfast was varied and beautifully presented, with plenty to choose from, and the dinners were excellent too. There are only a few dinner options, which I think is a plus because it suggests they’re made with fresh ingredients. The waiter, a bald man with a beard and huge muscles 😂, was friendly, chatty, helpful, and professional 👏🏻. He definitely deserves a pay raise 😊. We felt really well looked after.

The sauna, pool, and hot tub were all great, and we really enjoyed the dining. Our hotel room was great too, and the staff were very welcoming. Just keep in mind that the sauna closes at 8 PM. I’d absolutely recommend it as a place to break up the Oslo to Bergen drive into two days.

We arrived late, but ordering room service was no problem at all because the staff were so friendly. The next morning, we’d misunderstood and thought breakfast ended at 10:30 instead of 10:00. My boyfriend went to reception close to 10:30, and Vildar kindly put together a lovely breakfast for us to eat in our room. It felt really romantic. You made our stay so wonderful, thank you!
