It's convenient, with Circle K next door, a big Spar supermarket across the road, and ample parking. This beautiful hotel by the highway is very clean and comfortable. The staff were helpful and responsive, and the food was nice. Breakfast is typical Norwegian style.

There's a disgusting smell in the rooms and stair area. Horrible hotel.

The location is good and easy to reach from the highway, but I'd suggest getting a burger from the gas station instead of eating at the restaurant. I tried the buffet, and the vegetables, sausages, and meatballs were overcooked and very bland. Dessert was some puddings with what seemed like a lot of whipped cream, and flies were walking all over it. Expensive for the quality of the food. I can't really comment on the hotel itself.

Check-in was at the restaurant, and the service was great. The staff were friendly and available, and the room was clean and nice. There are pictures and lines from the play "Peer Gynt" all around the hotel, including in the room. The minibar fridge was so warm it was useless. I hate thinking I can store food in the room, only to find it's gone bad because the hotel is saving a few kroner on an overly warm fridge. Breakfast started at 7.30, though that might have been due to Corona. The TV also wouldn't work, but I forgot to tell the hotel, and it wasn't an inconvenience for me. It was an OK hotel.

I'm from the USA and spent three months travelling all over the Scandinavian countries in a rented camper. This place was by far the best food I had, and I slept peacefully in my van. Better than anything in the USA. Thank you to whoever made this place.
