Cosy accommodation with a very Nordic interior, warm and snug even with all that lovely snow outside. I tried snowshoe trekking, cross-country skiing, spark, and snowmobile riding, all new to me. The guides were professional, friendly, and calm. Their clear instructions helped me feel safe, and I managed everything with confidence and real happiness. After each day, I went to Bøteriet, where they serve delicious fresh seafood caught and cooked locally. At night, seeing the spectacular aurora borealis was a blessing. One of the best holidays I’ve ever had. Thank you.

We loved this. XLyngen offers a deep, remarkable Arctic Circle experience, a feast for the senses, perhaps even more if you’re someone with heightened extrasensory perception. There’s something wonderfully Norwegian about it, far removed from the noisy, homogenized, impersonal global trends. XLyngen gives you more than you expect. At the end of the day, we’re all people experiencing this unique latitude, so enjoy it for what it is.

We weren’t staying here. Our sailing ship, Saeftinghe, was moored a little farther away, but we had a very tasty dinner at the restaurant. Service was excellent and prompt. Highly recommended.

The snowmobile tour at XLyngen was immaculate, easily a 10/10. We rode through the fjords and took in some epic scenery. Afterwards, they served delicious local fish soup. A shout-out to our guide Zander, who made the adventure memorable for a lifetime!

Our snowmobile experience was very disappointing. The instructor was explaining how to turn while the machine was still running. We accidentally hit the gas during the instructions, and our snowmobile struck the one in front. The instructions should have been given with the machine switched off. Even though this happened because of poor instruction and safety management, we were made to pay for the damage. That felt unfair and unprofessional, and I wouldn’t recommend this company.
