Super Stay Hotel Oslo

I found an insect on the bed linen shortly after checking in, near the bedding seam, where bed bugs commonly hide. I took a photo at the time, and afterward I had skin reactions consistent with insect bites. I reported it to the front desk when checking out, and expected the hotel to acknowledge the situation professionally. Instead, they later wrote that inspections before my arrival had found no issue, suggested the insect most likely came in with my belongings, and said they accepted no responsibility. More than two weeks have passed, and I still haven’t received a formal written apology. I wasn’t asking for compensation or making unreasonable demands. I just expected basic hygiene and a sincere, professional response. I’m sharing this to inform future guests. Finding insects on bed linen isn’t a minor inconvenience, and the lack of accountability afterward was deeply disappointing. Guests may want to consider this carefully before booking.

The room was very cold, and there was a strange locked door inside that we couldn’t open. When I told staff about the persistent chemical-like smell, they acknowledged it. We were offered another room, but it was only a little better. The room also looked nothing like the online photos. It had barely any furniture, just a bed and small table, and a strong unpleasant odor throughout. The stay was disappointing, and I wouldn’t choose this hotel again.

The staff were super welcoming and helped our large group use the lounge area for snacks. Coffee was always free at reception, and the bedrooms were very warm. It’s a great location too, within walking distance of the metro, bakeries, and grocery shops. Highly recommend.

The room offered very little beyond a bed, shower, and somewhere to charge a phone. It was dirty, especially the bathroom, and there wasn’t enough soap or toilet paper. The balcony is shared with another room, but only the neighbors can access it and look into your room. Traffic in this busy neighborhood is loud. That would be manageable if the windows blocked sound or the room had decent ventilation. Instead, I had to open the window at night so I could breathe, and then the traffic noise came in.
