Dinner and breakfast were the highlights for us. Both were delicious, made with fresh local ingredients, and had a homey feel despite being gourmet meals. Our room was spotless and cosy, and the whole place made it easy to relax after exploring the fjords. From the moment we arrived, the staff at Petrines Gjestgiveri were warm, attentive and genuinely caring. We had a delightful stay and will remember it for a long time. We can’t wait to return to the Fjords.

Petrines is a special place, about a five-minute drive from Eidsdal. Though the hotel is historic, the rooms have been updated with modern, cosy interiors. The staff treated us like VIP guests and were friendly and helpful throughout. We had the fine dinner both nights of our two-night stay, and the professional chef made outstanding meals. Breakfast is free, simple and very good quality. The town is small, but it worked well as a base for hiking Geiranger. There’s one slow charger for electric cars. No elevator, but the staff will happily help carry your bags. A great stay for couples, and I can’t recommend it enough.

I loved the place, but there are only a few workers and they seem overwhelmed by all the work. The owners really take advantage of them. Wouldn’t recommend.

We spent two nights here and everything was clean. The room was a good size for two, with a very comfortable bed and a fantastic view of the mountains through the skylight. Breakfast was included and a perfect way to start the day. Thanks for a good stay!
