Trolltunga Camping

When a sudden storm came up, the camping manager offered us a comfortable room. We were two people travelling with a dog and tent, and felt very well looked after. The campsite has lovely views, clean bathrooms and showers, and a kitchen with basic supplies. We’d definitely recommend it and would like to return someday.

The staff were very friendly, and it was handy to refill the motorhome water and empty both grey water and the toilet. Showers can be activated with a credit card, and Apple Pay worked too. The showers weren’t very clean, though. The campsite seems busy because of Trolltunga. We visited off-season in our motorhome. It’s generally worth recommending, but don’t expect a cosy spot. Everything felt old and worn.

At night it was quiet enough that all we could hear was the wind. The sanitary facilities are spread around the main building, but they’re clean and heated. I chose this campground because there’s a morning shuttle to the Trolltunga car park, and found the place itself really nice too. The staff were friendly.

We stayed in a tent, and there are plenty of flat spots to pitch one. The staff were friendly, and the camp was well equipped, with washers, dryers, and best of all, a shoe dryer. Showers cost a reasonable amount and take card payment. You can borrow a hair dryer if you need one, and there’s a small grocery store on site.
