The location is great, close to the station and harbour, and the room was clean with a kitchen and washing machine. The bedroom is tiny. Customer service, though, was terrible. We arrived early in the evening in the rain and had trouble with the front door code, as did someone else there. Once we got that sorted, the lift took us to the fourth floor, but we still had six steps to climb. The code wouldn’t open our apartment door. After trying repeatedly, I called for help and was told they were having problems at that address. An hour and a half later, we were still in the hallway, and a couple on the second floor was locked out too. My husband eventually figured out that you have to enter the code and then press the fob against the lock. Nobody had told us that. We were just given different codes to try. The building was also a construction site. On our third morning, a man was taking down scaffolding outside our fourth-floor place. The next day, drilling started outside our door at 7:40 a.m.

A good experience overall.

They didn’t let me into the building until 4 p.m., so I spent three hours outside in the rain. There’s no lobby to wait in, no on-site cleaning or service, and customer service was no help with anything. The towel rack dryer was broken, and when I asked them to fix it, nobody came. They also provide no shower gel or shampoo, so I had to go out and buy some after my trip. This is a rented apartment, not a hotel. The area was under construction, with workers starting at 7 a.m. There’s no parking at the property. Parking is nearby, but costs 67 kroner per 30 minutes, which would be 3,216 kroner, or $347, for 24 hours. A terrible stay at Forenom Hotel. Avoid it.
