The room was small but okay, and the receptionist was friendly. I stayed just one night, from the 18th to the 19th of November, while the entrance and reception area were being renovated. It felt dark to me. The room, number 507, was dark too, and I couldn’t make the lights brighter. It was 15.4°C when I arrived. The bathroom tiles were cold underfoot, and while turning up the room temperature did work, it took a while. I couldn’t turn on or raise the bathroom floor heat. To be fair, I didn’t ask the front desk about that. The room felt so cold and dark that I left and spent the time in the free afternoon tea area. I stayed there from tea until dinner because I didn’t want to be in the room. Afternoon tea and dinner were okay. Breakfast, on the other hand, was very good, with lots of choices. The serving staff from the three different areas were okay. Would I return? Definitely not in winter. Maybe in another season, mainly because of the location.

Breakfast was excellent, while the afternoon tea and cake were fine, nothing too extravagant. Dinner was okay too, though you’ll need to eat out for traditional Norwegian dishes. The value for money is good. The rooms were very nice, the reception service super friendly, and the hotel is central, near the train station.

The rooms are a decent size, and everyone on staff was super polite. I was pleasantly surprised by the food: the dinner buffet is small but tasty, with something for everyone, and the breakfast buffet is top notch with lots of choices. If I’m in Oslo again, I’d consider staying here another time.

The food was varied and flavorful at both breakfast and dinner, and felt like good value. Dag deserves a special thank you. Throughout our stay, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Getting around was easy, with public transport and the airport train station both within walking distance. The room was kept in good condition and the bed was comfortable enough. It was small and had no view, so we kept the curtains closed.
