MediInn Hotel Oslo

Getting to shops and places to eat takes about a 10-minute walk, and Oslo's bus and train station are around 15 minutes away on foot. Breakfast came with the stay, which was a nice bonus and had a good range of options. The hotel was OK, though both the room and the toilet and shower were very small.

Breakfast was amazing, with good-quality food and plenty of choice that was refilled often. The coffee machine was weak, though, and I needed a double espresso to get close to my usual coffee. Breakfast ends early, at 10 am on weekends and 9 on weekdays, but that worked for us. The hotel is just north of the city centre, about a 15-minute walk from Central Station and 10 minutes from the Fjord and City Hall. After worrying over some Trip Advisor reviews, I was pleasantly surprised. The room was simple, clean, and cosy, with comfortable beds that were a little on the soft side, good pillows, and plenty of towels. The shower had lots of warm water, and there was a kettle with instant coffee and teas. There's very little room to store clothes, and the hot drinks came in paper cups, though there were two glasses. Staff were friendly, the towels were changed regularly, and I'd stay here again.

The breakfast at their restaurant was really good in quality, quantity, and variety, and the staff were very friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with lots of shops nearby and the centre within walking distance. I loved staying there and thought it was the best option for the price and location. I'd definitely recommend it and stay there again.

After trying plenty of hotels on my many trips to Oslo, I'd definitely recommend MediInn Hotel Oslo if you want a reasonably priced place right in the centre. The chefs and staff are fantastic, and they have especially good, healthy meals.
