Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel, Oslo

The location made getting around easy, with the main train station right next door and shops like pharmacies and small bakeries nearby. Oslo Opera House is about a five-minute walk away. My room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable. I honestly can’t complain, this hotel was wonderful.

The views from the 27th floor were the highlight, and the top-floor bar was a lovely spot for a drink. Breakfast was great too, and the hotel pizza place staying open late came in handy. I hadn't been properly told when booking that renovations were underway, but luckily I didn't hear any noise. I’d booked checkout until 16 pm, and they kindly let me stay until 17 pm :)

Being right in Oslo’s business center made it easy to walk wherever we needed to go. Everyone on staff was pleasant, and they even took care of throwing away the suitcase that had been damaged at the airport. The lifts were quick, and the gym and pool near the top of the building made for a fun visit. The pool is narrow but long enough for laps. We also liked the Chicago pizza sports bar attached to the hotel, especially the pizza, though the beer was expensive. A very good place to stay.

We first dropped into the sky bar for the view while visiting Oslo for the design fair in early February. It was magical, and the team were so warm and professional that we came back the next evening with four friends. That kind of service makes you want to bring others along. I can't remember everyone’s names now, but they were all lovely, especially the young Polish Lady at the bar. Great job, and we’ll be back!
