Being able to check in as late as 3 at night really saved me and my friend from having to sleep outside in 8-degree weather. We slept well, everything worked, and breakfast was good. The interior was simple, and the bathroom looked a bit old, but it was a good hotel.

The area was quiet, and breakfast was pretty standard. We stayed one night in a business room, which was a little dated, but easily the largest hotel room we had on our trip around Norway.

The breakfast buffet was generous and tasty, and the restaurant staff were always friendly and attentive. We also had a pleasantly spacious, very quiet room during our two pleasant nights here on a tour of Norway. The hotel suited our travel plans well, and we were able to take several trips into the countryside from there. The one issue was the shower. The movable glass panels didn't close flush, or the tile floor didn't slope enough, and after each shower the bathroom ended up flooded.

The staff were so friendly and helpful, even when they were overwhelmed during rush hour. That alone would make me want to come back someday. I also liked being a little outside the middle of the city center, with town still just 5-10 minutes away. I booked an accessible room for wheelchair use. It was nice and the bathroom was wheelchair friendly, but getting in and out of the room by myself was difficult, so the setup wasn't quite right and I can't give it full points. I was also unlucky to have lots of smokers below my windows. That's not really the hotel's fault, but it affected my stay.
