Buodden Rorbuer - Fisherman Cabins

We planned on staying three nights, but left for another house after the first. The cleanliness was very poor, and the equipment was old and smelled bad. The photos looked nice, but the place didn’t match them. We asked for a refund and got nowhere. Be careful, this felt like a tourist trap.

I only stayed one night, and the hygiene was awful. There was hair left around the place, wet towels in the kitchen, and surfaces that hadn’t been properly cleaned. The sofa had obvious white stains and looked disgusting. I took photos and asked for a refund, but the request was turned down. I find that hard to understand. Being in a popular area doesn’t justify rushing new guests in after such careless cleaning, even for these “fisherman cabins.” Think carefully before booking. The hygiene standards are extremely poor, and I’d look somewhere else.

The setting is gorgeous, and the cabins are great. Ours was warm and clean, with a main room that was roomier than I expected. Staff were helpful and accommodating, and we could reach them when we needed something after hours. I’d recommend staying here.

We loved the sauna, which kept us warm in winter, and the room was clean. The accommodation was fantastic, with a spacious, self-contained kitchen. We even saw the northern lights here, and it was so beautiful. It wasn’t easy to find, so more precise directions from the hosts would help. Cooking oil in the kitchen would’ve been nice too, though we managed without it ;)
