The breakfast was nice, and the bathroom had been renovated nicely. But room service never showed up, and there's no coffee maker in the room or smart TV, with no international channels either. I also lost a star for the extra charge for early check-in. Seriously?

The breakfast was so good, with lots of different options, even avocados, which I love. Not every hotel has breakfast this good. I stayed in the family room, which was quite spacious and had a nice bathroom. The location is convenient too, right beside the train station.

I booked this chain hotel near Stavanger station because I'd had good experiences at another location, and I wasn't disappointed. The room was big, and the bathroom was even bigger than I expected. The only reason I'd take a star off for the room is that the heating wasn't properly adjustable, which was frustrating. Luckily, the Norwegian weather let me cool the room easily by opening a window.

The room was a decent size, but it was very dusty and not in great shape. The corridor also smelled strongly of sewage for the first 2-3 hours. As a level 6 true friend, I asked for early check-in and late check-out. Both were refused due to “high demand,” and the front desk didn’t actually check availability when I asked. It might suit singles or couples who aren’t fussy about cleanliness. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone with normal expectations for service or cleanliness.

The location and breakfast were great, but this didn’t feel like a 4-star stay. Check-in at 16:00 is insane, though at least check-out is until 12:00. We were told early check-in was possible for a fee, but when we arrived the staff weren’t helpful and couldn’t say when the room would be ready. There was no hair or body soap in the room. We told reception, but it was still missing when we left. Also, the room doors don’t lock automatically when you go out.
